Code:
MIUI is a radical HTC Desire (and N1) Chinese ROM – built from Google source code, it has a similar look to the iPhone (iOS) but its still Android.
As MIUI is NOT based on HTC Sense UI it is quite a different feeling after using a standard HTC Desire, but it does have a lot of similarities to Sense UI.

The MIUI_Au ROM has been translated to 100% English and is suitable for the HTC Desire only (NOT the N1 or any other HTC phone) . What you get is a dash of awesomeness :)

To see what MIUI (Me-You-I? or My UI?) is like have a look at the following videos which come direct from the chinese website www.miui.com or read this review on cNet

Features of MIUI-Au (Check the posts on the Home page for updates to this list):

    * Updated A2SD+ with DalvikCache2SD and Zipalignment on boot
    * Modified boot image:
          o Set security = 0
          o Set allow Mocklocation = 1
          o Set timezone = Automatic (default)
    * Custom memory optimiser
    * Fast GPS fix tweak
    * Big list of locales built into the ROM (no need for moreLocale2 app):

          o Chinese (Traditional)
          o Cestina
          o Dansk

          o Deutsch (Österreich)

MIUI_Au 1.2.11 R1 & D1 Stable

Changelog:

  • Automatic A2SD+ with Cache2SD and ZipAlign on boot
  • A2SD+ Storage is now correctly reported in Settings (Thanks PClaren for adjusting the script)
  • No Chinese strings whatsoever (not all locales have been tested, but the vast majority are free of Chinese)
  • New Battery Monitor app in settings (Thanks to XJ for getting that working)
  • Messaging – heading fixed so you can add an unknown message sender as a new contact (the ‘+’ is visible)
  • SIM locking and Lockscreen securities play nicely and work concurrently (no more reboot-loops).
  • Android Keyboard FC fixed (reverted to a working library)
  • Numerous other bug fixes
Important Notes:
  • Install this with just a cache wipe and dalvik wipe. If you have problems A FULL WIPE is recommended
  • A2SD+ is enabled by default, no action from you is required
  • STOCK Kernel in ALL versions
  • First boot after Flashing is r-e-a-l-l-y slow due to the zipalign and dalvik relocation – be patient. reboots are really fast

MIUI_Au 1.2.11 X1 – Bleeding Edge Data2Ext

More MIUI_Au goodness for you Yellow Hat people. MIUI_Au D2EXT X-PART 1.2.4 – An adaptation of the Chinese Data2ext in the miui official site! This is highly experimental so make sure you are very experienced in all facets of phone modding before trying this and please read everything below before flashing.

I accepts no responsibility for any problems you may have with this build – so its your choice.

FEATURES and INFO:

  • MIUI AU D2W /system/apps
  • After the install is finished, reboot once more then restore your apps with Titanium or MIUI Backup
COMMON FEATURES:
  • Multi partition support + upgrade to ext4 if the installer finds it needs to
  • KERNEL is STOCK
  • FAST, SMOOTH, STABLE, use the rom and see for yourself
NOTES:
  • THIS IS AN ADAPTATION OF the DATA2EXT script in the official “MIUI Chinese SITE
  • Many thanks to atroy who did and modded the codes, all credits to him for that.
  • I did my best to convert this to EN and add some flavor to it
  • I got to say this is one of the fastest data2ext builds I have used, and stable! I have tried most of the builds and this one is a killer
    I named it X-PART, miui.com called it xpartitions
    X-PART = Will work on:
    - 2 Partitions: fat32+ext4, fat32=remaining, ext4=1000MB;
    - 3 Partitions: fat32+ext4+ext4, fat32=remaining, ext4=1000MB, ext4=300MB;
    - 4 Partitions: fat32+ext4+ext4+linux-swap, fat32=remaining, ext4=1000MB, ext4=300MB, linux-swap=100-200MB;
    Partitions i tested:
    - 2 Partitions: fat32+ext4, fat32=remaining, ext4=512MB;
    - 2 Partitions: fat32+ext3, fat32=remaining, ext3=512MB;
    - 2 Partitions: fat32+ext3, fat32=remaining, ext3=512MB-1000MB;
    (was converted to Fat32+EXT4+EXT4 when i flashed the rom)
  • Recommend use parted magic or gparted to partition!
  • If you have an EXT3 this Rom install script will try to Update it to EXT4
  • I stripped the rom of /data/apps so you must restore your apps with MIUI backup or Titanium
  • Other roms i will use as base will be the developer’s translation and effort, so credits goes to them for that
INSTALLATION:
  • Full Wipe is a an ABSOLUTE MUST
  • Install zip from SD card (toggle verification signature to disable)
  • Reboot
  • The system will go to first boot image (try to upgrade partition to ext4), then reboot again, then boot animation and then android home
    (The script will do that so don’t get confused, the second reboot means it has upgraded your EXT)
    (It is because of the 86extupdate script……that’s why it reboots the second time………read below)
    • First boot takes 5-10 mins so wait. As in WAIT!
    • Finally let it stabilize for some minutes before tapping that Android and you’ll see how fast it is.

if u want to push the "Cache" to SD use this Commands :
- adb root
- adb shell ("su" in Terminal Emulator)
- a2sd check
- a2sd cachesd

- Wipe, Wipe, Wipe before u flash the ROM – For best stability -

- The E-Version is a Barebone Version which is based on the R-Version what means, that it comes without extra modification. No Gapps (Google.Apps), no extra Apps, no Themes, no new Icons, nothing. Just the Miui.Au Rom + A2SD+ Script. For Modder the perfect one. -
